Hon. Luis A. Ferrer IV

Municipal Mayor

Mayor Luis "Jon - Jon" A. Ferrer, IV was born on December 12, 1972, the youngest of the three siblings of Luis S. Ferrer, III and Teresita S. Alandy. He came from a family of politicians, both his great grandfather and grandfather became Governor of the Province of Cavite and his father was elected Vice - Governor of Cavite as well. From 1998 to 2001 he was elected and served as one of the Provincial Board Members of the 2nd District of Cavite which is composed of six towns. After his term as Board Member he was elected as Vice - Mayor of General Trias up to 2004 elections for which he was also the Presiding Officer of the Sangguniang Bayan. During the 2004 he won an unprecedented victory as the Municipal Mayor and on the May 2007 elections he ran unopposed and given a new mandate. On December 10, 2004 he married Monina S. Santos of Bulacan and is now a proud father to two baby girls namely Alexandra Celise and Rafaela Louise.

Last October, 2005 the Municipality of General Trias under the leadership of Mayor Ferrer was given a "Citation on Good Governance" by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI). In 2006 Mayor Ferrer was one of the recipients of the "Local Government Leadership Award" being one of the most outstanding mayors in the country. In August, 2007 he was one of the awardees of the "5th Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Outstanding Achievement Award for Community Service". And in October of the same year, the PCCI conferred to the Municipality of General Trias the Most Business Friendly LGU award for South Luzon and for the entire Philippines.

To this day, Mayor Jon-Jon continues to provide excellent service to the public, guided by the principles of Honesty, Transparency and Humility.

Hon. Fernando P. Campaña

Municipal Vice Mayor

On June 22, 1957, Vice - Mayor FERNANDO "TOTIE" P. CAMPAÑA was born in Gen. Trias, Cavite to politician parents, the late Municipal Mayor Prudencio A. Campaña and former Municipal Councilor Clarita L. Presa - Campaña. He grew up learning a strong work ethics and a deep respect for the rights of an individual. Vice - Mayor Totie, as he fondly called by friends, is the fifth in a sibling of six (6): Villacena C. Camarce, a retired grade school principal; Hon. Dencito P. Campaña, Vice - Governor of Cavite; Misty C. Caimol, a Central Bank employee; Lenito P. Campaña, a retired US Air Force; and Isabelita C. Montoya, a government employee in the Provincial Government.

He finished grade school in Gen. Trias Elementary School in 1969 and high school in Gen. Trias Municipal High School (now Gov. Ferrer Memorial National High School) in 1975. He took up Bachelor of Arts Major in English in San Sebastian College. In 1979, he was employed at the Gen. Trias Post Office as a letter carrier. In 1981, he worked as an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW). In 1984, he re-entered the government service as a Revenue Clerk in the Municipality of Gen. Trias. From 1985 - 2004, he served as the President of the Gen. Trias Municipal Employees Association. In this position, he showed active participation and deep commitment to various communities and government activities. Thus, in January 2004, though politically inexperienced, a number of Gentriseños requested him to run for the vice mayoralty. In his earnest desire to serve the people, he resigned from work to give in to the request of a number of his supporters to pursue the candidacy for vice mayoralty.

Vice - Mayor Campaña assumed office as Vice - Mayor  of Gen. Trias on July 1, 2004.
