Ika-12 ng Disyembre 2020 — Kasabay ng pagdiriwang ng 5th Cityhood Anniversary ay pinasinayaan ang kauna-unahang COVID-19 Molecular Laboratory sa ating lungsod na pinangangasiwaan ng General Trias Medical Centre and Hospital sa Barangay Manggahan na isang private Level 2 hospital.
Kasamang dumalo sa nasabing programa sina Deputy Chief Implementer of the Philippines’ National Policy Against COVID-19 Vince Dizon, General Trias City Mayor Ony Ferrer, Gentri Medical Center and Hospital President & CEO Dr. Jerrimo Genuino, Vice-Mayor Morit Sison at mga Sangguniang Panlungsod members.
Ang nasabing pasilidad ay magiging malaking tulong sa kampanya ng Pamahalaang Lungsod laban sa COVID-19, kung saan maaring iproseso ang iba’t ibang uri ng COVID-19 diagnostic tests at mga kaugnay na pag-aaral tungkol dito.
