November 21,2012-General Trias, Cavite – Business owners and would-be entrepreneurs received fresh insights from industry experts during the SME and Entrepreneurship Seminar dubbed as “Kapihan with PLDT & Sun” held last November 16, 2012 at the Audio-Visual Room, Municipal Hall, General Trias. This half-day event organized by the Local Government of General Trias in partnership with PLDT SME Nation and Sun Cellular aims to empower entrepreneurs with relevant business strategies and update them with the latest modern technology to make their businesses more productive and competitive. Among the highlights of the seminar are the presentations of Mr. Rico Chavez from the Department of Trade & Industry – Cavite who shared basic concepts on starting-up a business and current government regulations and Mr. Joey Espiritu, entrepreneur and faculty member from the Lyceum of the Philippines University – Cavite who discussed marketing strategies and his own personal experience in managing his family’s business. Meanwhile, representatives from PLDT and Sun Cellular presented their latest business solution products intended to equip business owners with modern tools to manage their enterprises.
The seminar was attended by 76 business owners, most of which are members of the Gen. Trias Business Club and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Cavite). Local officials led by Committee on Ways & Means Chairman, Coun. Christopher N. Custodio, his Vice Chairman, Coun. Kerby J. Salazar and Municipal Administrator, Mr. Hernando M. Granados graced the said event and reaffirmed the local government’s commitment in developing the MSMEs of General Trias.
