Gen. Trias, Cavite – In a move to bring government service closer to the people, the Municipality of Gen. Trias in coordination with the Department of Foreign Affairs conducted the Mobile Passport Service last January 8, 2011 at the General Trias Cultural/Convention Center. Residents of General Trias and nearby towns came in droves in the hope of having their applications approved.
The 16-personnel Mobile Passport team led by DFA Officer Eduardo A. Santos and RCOCC Coordinator Kristoffer T. Comaya came to Gen. Trias to finalize the passport application process which includes validation, payment, encoding, photo-capturing and signing.
The processing of application went smoothly and systematically, while applicants were able to enjoy the comforts of waiting in queue inside the air conditioned center. A total of 466 passport applications were approved and is scheduled for release on January 29, 2011.
