Last October 1, 2010, Municipality of Gen. Trias together with our private partner Sun Cellular re-launched and celebrated the 2nd – year anniversary of the Serbisyo 24/7Project.
Serbisyo 24/7 project provides 24 hours, 7days a week hotline where constituents can elevate their concerns, inquire and/or feed information necessary for public safety and social matters through text messaging or voice call to the concerned agencies/sectors of the Local Government Unit .
It also aims to provide an easy fast and affordable means of interagency communication and bring public service closer to the people. Last August 8, 2008 more than 100 wireless desk phones were distributed in all barangays, public schools, organized members of the Homeowners’ Association and selected public safety and social services offices in its launching ceremony. This provides a direct link between the local government of General Trias and the grass root level.
In its 2 years of implementation, the project served as a tool in providing prompt quality service to residents of General Trias and empowered the citizenry by allowing them to participate in policy – making.
The relaunching ceremony coinciding with the celebration of the town fiesta was highlighted with games and raffles sponsored by Sun Cellular .
In a message, Mayor Ferrer, expressed his gratitude to its partner Sun Cellular for helping the Local Government achieved its goal in bringing quality service closer to its people by way of wireless network.
The Serbsiyo 24/7 Project is yet another FIRST from the Municipality of Gen. Trias.
